There are 3 theatre companies at Wellesley College:

  • Wellesley Repertory Theatre – an in residence professional company  produces two shows a year.
  • Wellesley College Theatre – under the direction of the Wellesley Theatre Studies Program produces two shows a year
  • Upstage – a student run theater organization that produces up to five shows a year

 

Alumnae Hall has two stages:

  • Diana Chapman Walsh Auditorium – a 1300-seat auditorium proscenium theatre on the street level.
  • Ruth Nagel Jones Theatre – a 90 seat black box theatre on the lower level.
  • Rentals: anyone wishing to borrow equipment or other inventory should contact the production manager via email.

Diana Chapman Walsh Alumnae Hall is home to the Ruth Nagel Jones Theatre and the Alumnae Hall Auditorium.  Alumnae Hall also houses the offices of the Theatre Studies Department.  All Wellesley Repertory Theatre productions are performed in the Ruth Nagel Jones Theatre.  Wellesley College Theatre and Upstage use both the auditorium and the RNJ theatres.
